The rain storm affecting a large part of Spain has caused this Monday the closure of more than 170 roads due to flooding and landslides, of which about 140 are in the community of Andalusia, according to information from the Directorate-General for Traffic (DGT)

Among the roads of the main network that remain closed are the A-48 in Vejer de la Frontera (Cádiz) towards Tarifa, the A-44 in Campillo de Arenas (Jaén) towards Granada, and the N-VI in Vega de Valcarce (León) in both directions.The storm has also generated significant traffic jams at several points: more than 4 kilometers of slow traffic on the A-7 in Museros (Valencia) after an accident in a section affected by the rains; and more than 3 kilometers of traffic jams on the A-4 at Butarque (Madrid) due to another accident. In addition, complications are being registered on the A-70 in Alicante
Faced with this situation, the DGT has asked drivers to exercise extreme caution, to avoid unnecessary travel, and to inform themselves about the road conditions and the weather forecast before traveling
