Nogueras has defended that, although her party supports the revaluation of pensions, it cannot back a decree in which, in her opinion, social measures are mixed with impositions that generate added problems. “Mixing social measures with impositions is taking people for a ride,” she stated in an interview with RTVE.
Miriam Nogueras: "Junts does not swallow that the price of raising pensions is that it is maintained that people can occupy houses and that people cannot evict those who occupy their houses and do not pay" https://t.co/Z8gZOZCQOk#LaHora28E pic.twitter.com/jI3svo6LRs

The Junts spokesperson has underlined her rejection of what she considers provisions that favor the occupation of homes and non-payment of rent, and has called for support for both the most vulnerable people and small property owners, who are also affected by the housing market situation.
The Congress of Deputies rejected the omnibus decree with votes against from PP, Vox, and Junts, which has caused several of the measures included in the text —among them the pension increase, the eviction moratorium, and certain parts of the so-called social shield— to temporarily lapse, according to parliamentary analysis.
Although the revaluation of pensions in line with the CPI was contemplated in the decree, its rejection leaves its application from February in the air if it is not processed separately. The Government has expressed its intention to present these measures in isolation to gain parliamentary support for their approval.
Nogueras has insisted that Junts is in favor of pensions increasing, but has pointed out that her party wants this measure to be voted on independently in Congress to achieve a clearer consensus. "If what matters to us is that pensions increase, they can be voted on and will have consensus," she stated. The spokesperson also recalled that, although the omnibus decree-law included aid for small property owners affected by squatting or unpaid rent, only a small portion of these owners has received that assistance, which, according to her, shows that the policies included "have not worked."
