The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, will attend the military parade on July 14 with which France commemorates its National Day, an event that will be presided over by the French president, Emmanuel Macron, as confirmed this Friday by the Secretary of State for Communication.
The visit will take place at a time of close coordination between both countries, coinciding with the processing in the Cortes Generales of the Treaty of Friendship signed by Spain and France in 2023. The agreement has already been approved by Congress with the support of the government partners, although the Popular Party and Vox have announced their rejection in the Senate and plan to appeal one of its articles to the Constitutional Court.
