The spokesperson for the PNV in Congress, Maribel Vaquero, has reiterated that her party will not support "any government that proposes a democratic involution" and has warned, along the same lines, that the PP "is hand in hand with Vox".

The Jeltzale deputy has spoken about the possibility of an understanding between her party and Alberto Núñez Feijóo's party if he wins the general elections on November 29.

The PNV distances itself from Vox

Vaquero has clearly underlined that the PNV will not support any Executive that, in her opinion, represents a setback in democratic terms. In her words, "we are not going to support any government that proposes a democratic involution".

The Jeltzale spokesperson has gone a step further by stating that the PP, at this moment, "is hand in hand with Vox and is in that sense", an assessment in which she links her position with the relationship she attributes to the popular party with the formation.

"With Vox and with totalitarianisms it will not be"

In the words of its spokesperson in Congress, the PNV, as it "has always said", will not be with Vox nor with "totalitarianisms" nor with "democratic involutions". With this formulation, the deputy has reaffirmed the political position that the Basque party has been publicly defending in the face of any governability scenario that depends on agreements with the right and the far-right.
