Podemos considers the racist protests in Ceuta to be "fueled by PP and Vox" and blames the Government for "giving them gasoline"

Ione Belarra, general secretary of Podemos, has lashed out at the Government, considering them "responsible" for the migratory crisis that has been experienced in Ceuta since last July due to their management, which, according to Belarra, "fuels" the racism of far-right protests "fed by PP and Vox."

The Podemos deputy has spoken to the media at the concentration of forest firefighters in the Community of Madrid, and has praised the work of "the majority of the people of Ceuta, whose neighbors have done the work with immigrants that for a month the Government of Spain has not done, bringing them food, clothing and humanitarian assistance. Belarra has also called the latest protests in the autonomous city "racism", where even immigrant settlements on the beach have been burned, which, in her view, are "fed" by PP and Vox, who at the same time finance 'media proxies' that stir up these events.

She continued her speech by adding that, "it is urgent to end that financing, because if not, we are going to continue seeing outbreaks of racism that I believe do not represent the majority of the people of this country," stressed Belarra, who, in addition to these words, has emphasized the Government's responsibility for this situation, for which she has asked them to transfer the migrants to the peninsula and "really help Ceuta."

Following this line, she has described the Government's "calculated inaction" in avoiding "punishing" Morocco with the migratory crisis at the end of July, "thinking that it will not happen again," as "a mistake" that fuels racism and gives "gasoline" to the far-right, she highlighted. She did not stop there, as the general secretary of Podemos has insisted on a "good humanitarian management" of the crisis, rejecting that what happened in Ceuta is an invasion. In reference to this, "this is like Gaza. What we see here is a migratory flow heated, yes, by Morocco." Finally, she continued to criticize Sánchez's Government for "outsourcing" Spanish borders.
