Junts has ruled out for now any movement around a possible no-confidence motion against Pedro Sánchez. The party's general secretary, Jordi Turull, has assured that the party has not maintained "any type of contact with the PP" about this possibility and has stressed that there has not been an internal debate about what position to adopt because there is no concrete proposal.

In an interview granted to 'La Vanguardia', Turull insisted that Alberto Núñez Feijóo must act through the usual political channels if he wants to explore a parliamentary alternative. The Junts leader has demanded a formal meeting with Carles Puigdemont in Waterloo before raising scenarios through the media and has questioned the details of an eventual "instrumental motion".

The pro-independence leader has also drawn a red line regarding any operation involving Vox. "If Vox is part of the equation, there's no need to even start talking," he said, making it clear that the Catalan party does not contemplate supporting an initiative that depends on the participation of Santiago Abascal's party.

Despite closing the door to conversations with the PP, Turull reiterated that the current legislature is exhausted and revealed that he maintains permanent contact with the PNV. Both parties believe that Sánchez should consider calling early elections due to the judicial investigations affecting the PSOE.

Furthermore, the Junts leader has warned that the new financing model agreed between the Government and the Generalitat will need the support of his party in Congress. Turull has warned that the proposal known so far deviates from the expectations generated by ERC during the investiture of Salvador Illa and has made it clear that Junts will not support an agreement that it considers insufficient for Catalonia.
