The Minister of Health and leader of Más Madrid, Mónica García, has demanded this Saturday that former Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero offer detailed explanations about the issues that judicially affect him, especially in relation to the seized jewels valued at more than one million euros.

During an event held in Madrid, García assured that her party has asked for clarifications "from the very beginning" and defended that any political leader must be accountable to the citizens when doubts arise about their assets or public activity.

The Madrid leader also claimed the independence of Más Madrid, assuring that it is a political force that does not depend on lobbies, businessmen, or de facto powers. In this way, she insisted that her demand for transparency is applicable to any leader, regardless of their ideology.

García also directed her criticism towards the president of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, from whom she requested explanations for the value of some of her real estate properties. As she pointed out, the demand for accountability must extend to all public officials.

Despite demanding clarifications from Zapatero, the leader of Más Madrid stressed that she respects the presumption of innocence and refused to accept as true the accusations made by the PP. However, she insisted that citizens deserve to know all the details before drawing conclusions.
