Jordi Wild already has the yes from his four guests for the general elections on November 29. Pedro Sánchez accepted this Friday to participate in 'The Wild Project', the same day the deadline set by the content creator expired. The President of the Government joins the special after Alberto Núñez Feijóo, Santiago Abascal, and Ada Colau confirmed their participation.
"Thanks for the invitation, @JordiWild. I'll be there," Sánchez wrote on X. The socialist leader accompanied his response with a wink to Nacho Amela, the program's director and editor, whom he asked to remember that his good side is "the left". The confirmation arrived a day after his appearance on 'La Revuelta', where he had left the answer to this other invitation pending.
Gracias por la invitación, @JordiWild. Ahí estaré.

¡@NachoAmela, acuérdate de que mi lado bueno es el izquierdo!
Wild responded with a brief "Well, that's it: 4/4". This closed two weeks of announcements, public requests, and changes in the conditions of an initiative that places his podcast among the campaign scenarios. The four leaders will attend separately and their conversations will be published on November 13, the first official day of the campaign, one hour apart and in order of parliamentary representation, from smallest to largest.
Pues ya estaría: 4/4. https://t.co/WT28MjArgh

The appeal for candidates is to reach audiences who consume current affairs outside of usual political spaces. The long conversation allows for explaining proposals and showing a personal facet, while fragments that later circulate on social media can reach those who will never see the full interview. An uncomfortable answer will have the same trajectory.
Unagreed questions and two journalists to check the data
The proposal started on October 8 with a condition that Wild eventually withdrew. He wanted all guests to attend and would cancel the special if any refused to participate. On Monday 19, he announced that he would interview those who accepted, after receiving requests from his followers to keep the project going. Feijóo and the leader of the far-right Vox had previously given their consent; Colau did so on Tuesday 20.
The interviews will have an estimated duration of between 50 and 90 minutes, with common questions and segments for the candidates. The presenter has announced that he will not provide the questions in advance and that he will publish the full conversations, without accepting that political teams demand the removal of answers or the modification of parts of the video.
Wild has also promised "tough and inquisitive" interviews, with respectful treatment and without shouting or disqualifications. As he explained, two independent journalists will remain off-camera to verify the data and warn of possible errors. The verification during the chat can allow for re-questioning a figure before the conversation moves on to another topic.
The selection leaves out other candidacies that have shown interest. Wild has mentioned requests from Podemos, ERC, Junts, and SALF, although he considers it difficult to expand the special due to scheduling issues. He also sees it as almost impossible to organize a debate between the four guests and has proposed another between two political profiles from opposing positions, whose names he has not yet announced.
Who is Jordi Wild and what are parties looking for in his audience
Jordi Wild, born in Manresa in 1984, became known on YouTube with 'El Rincón de Giorgio' and later consolidated his popularity with the interviews and discussions of 'The Wild Project'. His podcast channel has over seven million subscribers and combines science, sports, events, culture, and politics. He himself has described his audience as predominantly male, a relevant fact to understand the electoral interest his program generates.
His career also accumulates controversies. His explanations about the scarce presence of women among his guests provoked criticism, after linking it to the lower female visibility in certain areas. In addition, the CNMC sanctioned him for disseminating videos of fights from his Dogfight Wild Tournament event without the required warnings and child protection measures. The file affected those contents, published on his surrounding channels.
For Sánchez, the interview expands a strategy of appearances in entertainment formats that he already used in 2023 with 'La Pija y la Quinqui'. Feijóo will have to develop his answers outside the rhythm of a radio interview; Colau will have an opportunity to publicize the newly born Frente Amplio, and Abascal will be able to address viewers outside of Vox events. The interviewer will choose the topics and decide when to demand specificity, with the ability to place some questions ahead of others during the campaign.
The search for these audiences coincides with a significant renewal of the electorate. According to the National Institute of Statistics, 1,615,127 residents in Spain will be able to vote for the first time in a general election on 29N for having turned 18 since the previous call, held on July 23, 2023.
