"Sánchez is part of the plot. None of those imprisoned or indicted from his circle did anything without his consent. To say otherwise is an insult to intelligence. In February 2024, what was called the ‘Koldo case’ broke out, but no one doubts anymore that we are facing the ‘Sánchez case’". This is how they reacted at Génova 13 to the messages from Koldo García, former advisor to former minister José Luis Ábalos, published by El Español. According to this media outlet, the Whats Apps sent would point to a "network of influences generated from Moncloa", in which the "marriage formed by Pedro Sánchez and Begoña Gómez played a fundamental role as facilitators". In their opinion, these text messages would show that the President of the Government "is at the center of the bullseye of corruption", as indicated by the party in a statement.

According to the publication in El Español, in this whole setup the marriage formed by Pedro Sánchez and Begoña Gómez played a fundamental ‘facilitator’ role that was recognizable by the rest of those involved, including Koldo García and Víctor Aldama. The president and his wife acted as mediators between the 'corrupting nexus' and the president of the OMT when the ‘first lady’ collaborated with Wakalua, a subsidiary of Globalia and with projects in the OMT itself.

All of this barely a few months after the Government approved the millionaire bailout of Air Europa, owned by Globalia, which was activated after Begoña Gómez's meetings with the company's CEO, Javier Hidalgo. "Everything is related and Koldo's messages are confirming it," states the party led by Alberto Núñez Feijoo.

"The President of the Government is in the bull's-eye of corruption and every day new journalistic information proves it. He knew, he covered it up, and he participated. There is increasing evidence of his leading role in a corrupt plot that shames all of Spain. He who lives in suspense over the content of a prisoner's messages does not deserve the honor of being President of the Government," states the Popular Party's statement.
