The spokesperson for the PP, Ester Muñoz, has lashed out at the President of the Government during her intervention in the control session of the Congress of Deputies, assuring that citizens reject both the war and the current Executive. “All of Spain is against the war. What we don't want is your Government,” she affirmed, in a statement with which she tried to place the whole of Spanish society in a position contrary to the Executive.
Muñoz raised his criticism in terms of social representation, attributing to the Government a lack of political legitimacy. His intervention sought to link the rejection of the international conflict with Iran with the discontent towards the Executive, suggesting that both issues are connected in the perception of citizens.
From the Government, however, that approach is questioned and it is criticized that the popular spokesperson speaks on behalf of “all of Spain”, considering that it is a generalization that does not reflect the plurality of existing opinions.
