The far-right group Núcleo Nacional already has an electoral brand. The ultra organization has announced the official presentation of Noviembre Nacional, a political party with which it intends to bring to the polls the same racist, sexist, homophobic, and ultra-Catholic discourse that it has been agitating in the streets and on social media since the Ferraz protests against the amnesty.

The presentation is scheduled for July 11 in Madrid. In the video released by the organization, its spokespersons rail against “the disconnection of the people from God,” attack equality between men and women, and reject that “a South American or an African” is equal to “a European.” They also speak of “racial replacement” and promise to combat the “degenerations” they attribute to the “regime of '78.”

The party has been registered since February under the name Noviembre Nacional and is linked to the veteran far-right activist Enrique Lemus, a historical leader of Democracia Nacional. The choice of name is not innocent for a space that moves between Francoist, Falangist, and neo-Nazi references. November was the month of the death of Francisco Franco and the execution of José Antonio Primo de Rivera, founder of Falange.

From street hatred to the ballot box

Núcleo Nacional grew in the heat of the far-right mobilizations in front of the PSOE headquarters on Ferraz street. There, militants from different ultra groups, Vox sympathizers, and organizations such as Democracia Nacional or Falange converged. From that climate emerged a brand with a paramilitary aesthetic, a cult of masculinity, and a discourse of confrontation against migrants, feminism, the left, and liberal democracy.

The Civil Guard already focused on the organization for a video in which it called for a “joint struggle” in the streets against the foreign “invasion.” The report was sent to the Prosecutor's Office and the courts to determine if the content could constitute a hate crime. Núcleo Nacional has also been singled out for its xenophobic propaganda and its ability to attract young people through social media.

The new formation tries to present itself as an alternative to the entire political system, but its discourse leaves little room for doubt. In its presentation video, it denies basic pillars of equality, claims a racial idea of Spain, and places Christianity as a tool for national reconstruction. The step to becoming a party now allows it to try its luck in the institutional arena.

Vox looks askance at the new ultra competitor

The emergence of Noviembre Nacional is also read within the fight for the youngest electorate of the far right. As 'El Confidencial Digital' has published, in Vox they take for granted that the candidacy of Núcleo Nacional can subtract part of that vote, especially among young people who are looking for a more anti-system option than that of Santiago Abascal.

The movement comes in full radicalization of the PP and Vox, with regional government pacts, offensives against immigration, and increasingly harsh discourses around identity, security, and "cultural battle." Núcleo Nacional tries to occupy the next step.

The presentation event will be this Friday in Madrid. The group arrives with a registered party, its own headquarters, presence on networks, and a discourse that has already gone from the hooded video to the public call.
