The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has announced that the Executive will approve a royal decree to "set limits" on the opening of private Vocational Training (FP) centers that, in his opinion, "have become scams" without guarantees of educational quality.

"We have to continue shielding the quality of vocational training, just as we did with universities; we do not reject that there are private universities, but rather that some have become fronts. We are going to set limits on the opening of private centers that do not offer public guarantees of quality and we are going to do it through a royal decree to ensure that whoever provides training does so with quality and with control," declared the president.
Against the educational “chiringuitos”
Sánchez has defended that the measure will follow the same line as that applied in the university sphere and has stressed that the Government does not reject the existence of private centers, but rather those that, in his opinion, "only give diplomas" without offering public quality guarantees. The president has insisted that the royal decree will serve to "ensure that whoever provides training does so with quality and with control"
These statements by the president took place at the event 'Vocational Training and Business: the alliance that drives the future', held at the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports.
This is a measure similar to the royal decree approved in October that **modified the regulations on universities to put an end to university "chiringuitos"** and guarantee quality standards. Sánchez had already announced in the summer the need to put **"order and control"** to private Vocational Training centers and proposed creating "an integrated model of authorization and supervision" together with the autonomous communities
