The CJEU strikes down the European Parliament's decision to suspend the immunity of Puigdemont, Comín, and Ponsatí

The Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) has annulled this Thursday the decision adopted in 2021 by the European Parliament to withdraw parliamentary immunity from the former president of the Generalitat Carles Puigdemont and former MEPs Toni Comín and Clara Ponsatí, considering that the procedure violated the principle of impartiality.
