The far-right association Liberum, founded in 2021 - in the midst of the pandemic -, and which acts in coordination as a popular prosecutor alongside Vox and Manos Limpias - among other far-right organizations - in judicial proceedings, such as in the 'Koldo case' or the 'Sánchez's brother case', has taken a further step, this time against Alberto Núñez Feijóo. It is a politically substantive step since, until now, its clear objective was to wear down Pedro Sánchez and his party, the PSOE, through judicial action as a popular prosecutor.
Nothing could be further from the truth; the far-right association, which is also acting as a private prosecutor in the 'DANA case,' investigating the negligent actions of the government presided over at the time by the still-privileged regional deputy Carlos Mazón, has asked the investigating judge, Nuria Ruiz, that the national leader of the PP, Núñez Feijóo – who is listed as a witness in the investigation for his messages with Carlos Mazón – provide not only the messages sent under notarial deed but also the mobile device from which Feijóo and Mazón exchanged the messagesSpecifically, the request to investigate the phone of the national leader of the PP was based on the fact that, according to the association Liberum, "the notarial deed of the messages exchanged with the president of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, only attests to visibility and does not constitute a certification of the authenticity, integrity, or material authorship of the content of the messages." In other words, the ultra association does not believe either Feijóo or the notary who certified, under notarial deed, the messages that the national PP president sent to the judge of the Dana.Thus, despite the attempt by the association, which often acts in coordination with the far-right Vox party, demonstrating itself to be one of its satellites, to treat Alberto Núñez Feijóo as a suspect in the case, the investigating judge of the 'Dana case' cut short such a request. "What this means is to dismiss that request outright," stated Judge Nuria Ruiz, recalling that the national PP leader is a witness in the investigation and not a suspect.
