The Government of Spain has echoed the provisional agreement between the United States and Iran to cease attacks and achieve peace. In this regard, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, José Manuel Albares, has reiterated that it is necessary to “guarantee the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon” and has demanded: “Freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz”.
“We have to go beyond the Gulf region and look at the entire Middle East. This is a great opportunity to advance towards peace and stability. We need to guarantee the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon. And there the European Union can play a fundamental role. I am going to propose a European Union mission that can take over from UNIFIL once it expires,” the minister said.
Likewise, Albares has stated that “this agreement must guarantee freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, which must be safe at all times, without any type of economic charge and which must be completely free for any country”.
In this same vein, the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, has spoken, who through X has once again emphasized his ‘no’ to war. “We trust that the peace agreement announced today will serve to end this nonsense, that it will be respected by all parties, and that it will thus mark the beginning of a new stage in the Middle East. Let’s celebrate. But let’s not forget. And let’s learn once and for all that war is a failure. Dialogue and diplomacy are the only way,” Sánchez said.

On the other hand, the President of the European Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen, has valued the agreement as satisfactory and has demanded the "immediate reopening" of the strategic enclave, Strait of Hormuz.
“I welcome the agreement reached between the United States and Iran, following sustained diplomatic efforts by several partners. The priority now is its swift and full implementation by all parties. This agreement should allow for the immediate reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Freedom of navigation without tolls must be restored. This is essential for regional stability and the global economy,” Von der Leyen conveyed.

After a prolonged war for months, finally, the United States and Iran have announced this Sunday an agreement that could put an end to the attacks and reopen the strategic enclave of the Strait of Hormuz.
Thus, as announced by the mediating country Pakistan, this Friday, June 19, they will sign a memorandum of understanding in Switzerland to end the bombings. However, the details of the agreement are unknown and Israel has not yet commented on the cessation of attacks on Lebanon.

"Let the oil flow!", the American president concluded.
