Elma Saiz, Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, has announced that this Monday several humanitarian assistance devices of an extraordinary and temporary nature will be deployed in Ceuta, which would also entail the "immediate" habilitation of 1500 new places for migrants.
These new devices that are intended to be put in place, will be deployed distributed in four locations. There will be one in the parking lot of the bagging area of the Loma del Colmenar, ceded by the autonomous city, in the equestrian facilities there will be another, and both in the old soccer field of the Cavalry barracks, as well as in the so-called Guano space the other two devices will be placed, these last two, owned by the Government of Spain.
"Collaboration between institutions is fundamental to restore normality in Ceuta as soon as possible. That will be the compass that guides my stay these days," the minister commented during the trip to visit the autonomous city. And in addition to these words, Saiz has also regretted that the Popular Party is buying into Vox's discourse regarding migration. She also wanted to emphasize that the Government of Spain has not stopped working, "not for a single second," accompanying the city of Ceuta, led by the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, through in-person meetings, telematic meetings, and of course, visits.
As for example, this Monday's videoconference coordination meeting, headed by the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez. It was together with several members of his Executive to analyze the situation that Ceuta is going through after the massive entry of people into the territory and after this Saturday, August 15, the entry of more people into Spanish territory has been prevented. The meeting, convened by the head of the Executive and which he will lead from the official residence of La Mareta, in Lanzarote, will serve to monitor the situation.
