The Government has sent to Congress the report on defense material exports corresponding to 2025, which reflects an 18% increase in foreign sales during the first half of the year. According to data from the Secretary of State for Commerce, exports reached 2,332.7 million euros.
The document, which will be analyzed in the Defense Commission, includes both the operations carried out and the licenses granted or denied for the export of military equipment, as well as dual-use products and technologies, that is, with both civil and military applications.
In this period, no export of defense material to Russia was authorized, while military equipment was sold to Ukraine for approximately 35.7 million euros, in addition to material donations valued at 219 million intended to support its defense.
Regarding Israel, the report indicates that only temporary licenses linked to repairs or maintenance of equipment whose end user are the Spanish Armed Forces were authorized, in a context marked by the embargo decided by the Government on the sale and purchase of military material with this country.
