Vivas mobilizes support for Ceuta and calls on Spaniards to take to the streets: "It is the cause of all Spain"

Juan Jesús Vivas wants to turn Ceuta Day, tomorrow, September 2, into a show of support for the autonomous city at an especially delicate moment. The president of Ceuta has asked citizens from all over Spain this Tuesday to join the concentrations called in different municipalities of the country to show their support for Ceuta after the migratory crisis at the end of July.

In a letter disseminated through his social networks, Vivas has described August as "his toughest month" and has denounced what he considers an "unprecedented outrage" against the territory and sovereignty of the city. His message comes one day before the celebration of Ceuta Day, which this year will be marked by the consequences of the crisis experienced during the last weeks.

The regional leader has claimed that support for Ceuta transcends any partisan dispute. "What is at stake is the cause of Ceuta, which, ultimately, is the cause of all Spain," he affirmed, defending that the territorial integrity of the country cannot be understood in a fragmented way.

For this reason, Vivas has encouraged participation in the concentrations scheduled for 8:00 p.m. in numerous Spanish municipalities, promoted by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP). The president of Ceuta believes that these mobilizations should serve as an expression of solidarity and unity, regardless of "political colors or ideologies".

Vivas warns of a "high-risk" situation

The president of Ceuta has warned that the consequences of the crisis continue to be visible in the city. According to him, Ceuta remains "overwhelmed and on the verge of collapse" and is going through a "high-risk" situation that requires, in his opinion, the support of the entire country.

"The cause is not exclusively Ceuta's, it is the cause of all Spain," Vivas reiterated, linking the defense of the city with the protection of territorial integrity and democratic principles.

His letter also contains a message of gratitude for the expressions of solidarity received during the last few weeks. The president has conveyed, on behalf of the people of Ceuta, his appreciation to citizens and institutions that have publicly shown their support for the city during this period. For Vivas, this support has allowed Ceuta to face with greater strength weeks marked by uncertainty and pressure derived from the migratory crisis.

The regional president closed his message by asserting the determination of the people of Ceuta in the face of the situation. "Ceuta remains standing and is not willing to surrender. Ceuta is not for sale, Ceuta is defended. Ceuta is Spain and will continue to be so," he concluded.
