The general secretary of VOX, Ignacio Garriga, has once again resorted to one of the most characteristic discourses of the far-right by stating that "only VOX dares to say that Spain neither surrenders nor is replaced by foreigners". With these words, the leader once again places the focus on immigration using rhetoric that directly connects with the well-known great replacement theory, a conspiratorial narrative widely disseminated by far-right movements.

This narrative claims, without evidence, that there is a supposed plan to demographically replace the native population through the arrival of immigrants, especially those of non-European origin. Numerous specialists and international organizations have debunked this theory as lacking empirical basis, but it continues to be one of the main arguments used by far-right parties and leaders to fuel fear of immigration and present the foreign population as a threat to national identity.
Garriga's statements reinforce this framework by contrasting "Spaniards" with "foreigners", suggesting that immigration implies a replacement of the population. This is a recurring message in VOX's discourse, which in recent years has hardened its position on migratory policies and has repeatedly linked immigration with problems of security, coexistence, or access to public services.
With this type of message, VOX once again places immigration at the center of its political strategy through an identitarian and exclusionary discourse, resorting to a narrative that has been widely pointed out by experts as an example of disinformation and the construction of an internal enemy based on xenophobic approaches.
