Ignacio Garriga assured this Thursday that there are "ample indications" for Pedro Sánchez to end up being charged within the framework of investigations related to alleged corruption cases affecting the socialist circle. "It is evident, after learning of Judge Pedraz's order, that we are not facing the 'Leire Díez case', the 'Ábalos case', the 'Begoña case', the 'David Sánchez case': we are facing the 'PSOE case', the 'Pedro Sánchez case'", Garriga assessed.
The general secretary of Vox made these statements in the Parliament of Catalonia after new actions by the Central Operative Unit (UCO) of the Civil Guard were announced, including searches and information requests ordered by the National Court within different lines of investigation.
During his appearance, Garriga defended that the cases known in recent months should not be analyzed in isolation. In his opinion, the different investigations that have affected the PSOE's environment are part of the same political and judicial scenario that, he maintained, directly points to the head of the Executive.
The Vox leader was also asked about the possibility that the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, might explore a possible motion of no confidence with the support of Carles Puigdemont. Garriga avoided commenting on the strategy that the Popular Party should follow, although he reiterated his criticism of the former Catalan president, whom he again pointed out for his judicial situation.
The statements come at a time of growing political tension, marked by ongoing investigations and the exchange of accusations between the Government and the opposition about the scope of the different cases affecting the national political landscape.
