The President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, did not travel on Wednesday to the Observation Center in Yebes, Guadalajara, from his holiday residence in Lanzarote to see the solar eclipse, according to several Spanish media outlets. In this regard, the Minister of Transport, Óscar Puente, has lashed out against the false information disseminated, stating: "We live in the world of the hoax."
Through his social networks, the head of Transport wrote: "Many media outlets have made a fool of themselves creating an expectation of something that was never on the agenda. I know this well because the Yebes observatory depends on my ministry. Now we have to put up with those who say he canceled it for some reason or another. We live in the world of the hoax."
