The controversies revolving around Ayuso and her closest circle are increasing. A family business selling sanitary material has its registered office in a property belonging to Ayuso, as this newspaper revealed a few weeks ago; the credit that AvalMadrid gave to the father of the CAM president has not been repaid; Ayuso's brother and the commissions in the midst of the pandemic; the case against her current partner, Alberto González Amador, for tax fraud; the sister-in-law of the leader of the Madrid Executive obtained a position in the Villanueva de la Cañada City Council for which only she applied; and, now, as 'ElConstitucional.es' has exclusively revealed, Ayuso's first husband and mentor made a killing with the Community of Madrid by taking 93,958.90€ in Covid aid, which allowed him to cover debts.
This Wednesday, through an unprecedented photograph of Ayuso dressed as a bride, ‘ElConstitucional.es’ certified one of the most hidden facts of the life of the president of the Community of Madrid who is now under suspicion: her wedding in 2008 with businessman Sergio Rafael Hernández Torre Durban, from whom she divorces in 2011.
The determining factor, of course, is not the wedding but who she married. One of the companies that, as this newspaper has been able to verify, received Covid aid granted by the Community of Madrid -although financed by the Sánchez Government- through the order of May 27, 2021 and for a value of €93,958.90 was Durbanity Eventos, SL. (NIF: B87698767; Registry MADRID. Section 8. Sheet 637576). The company, still active, has as its sole administrator Sergio Rafael Hernández Torre Durban who was, precisely, Isabel Díaz Ayuso's first husband. This businessman was also the first political mentor of the president of the CAM, as sources from the PP of Madrid consulted by this newspaper attest, being very well connected with the former president of the CAM Esperanza Aguirre and the circle of the most influential members of the Madrid Popular Party. In other words, the ex-husband allowed Ayuso to ascend politically in a PP as complicated as that of Madrid.
The two questions that derive from this information published by 'ElConstitucional.es' are evident and require a convincing and urgent answer: has Ayuso, current president of the Community of Madrid, knowingly benefited her ex-husband? Did the leader of the Madrid Executive benefit from her ex-husband, who has made a killing with the CAM?
Until now, the response that sources from the CAM have given to this newspaper, and to other media, is as unconvincing as it is misleading. “The subsidy was from Pedro Sánchez. The Community [of Madrid] only processed the aid granted by the central Government, with no possibility of us refusing. Sánchez subsidized the company of Ayuso's ex-husband, 10 years after divorcing”, they convey from the Comunidad de Madrid to 'ElConstitucional.es'.
Yes, the funding for that line of Covid aid came from the central Government. At least a good part of it. But the processing for companies and management of the funds was carried out by the General Directorate for Self-Employed and Entrepreneurship of the Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment of the Ayuso Government.
A truth wrapped in a lie can never be an explanation. Ayuso must provide an answer, and urgently, to the two key questions -previously exposed- that derive from the exclusive information published by this newspaper.
