Jesús Cintora returns to TVE mornings with a warning before premiering on 'Mañaneros 360': "If we have to bother, we will bother"

Jesús Cintora is now ready to return to TVE's mornings. The journalist will debut this Monday, August 24, at the helm of the new season of 'Mañaneros 360', where he will form a duo with Adela González after Javier Ruiz's departure to La Séptima.

Cintora presented his credentials this Friday on 'La Hora de La 1', during a relaxed conversation with Silvia Intxaurrondo and his new colleague. The journalist from Soria knows that his arrival arouses enthusiasm among a part of the audience and considerable rejection in certain sectors. Far from avoiding that noise, he has decided to face it with humor. "There are people who are really looking forward to us, so we're going to give them some ammunition," he joked. The phrase served as a prelude to a much clearer declaration of intent about the type of television he wants to make starting next Monday.

"We come to make a program that accompanies, but if we have to bother, we will bother," Cintora explained. His objective is to focus attention on the issues that mark each day and "bother those who want to hide what is happening," maintaining the critical spirit that has characterized his latest formats.

The journalist also praised the work done so far by 'Mañaneros 360' and made it clear that he is landing in a fully consolidated format. "There is an understanding and a fabulous job done with a very well-oiled team," he said about his first rehearsals with Adela González.

The presenter reciprocated those words and described Cintora as a good "dance partner." González acknowledges that the journalist masters the medium and only needs to familiarize himself with the dynamics of his new television home. "You don't need to teach Jesús television," she summarized.

Cintora arrives with his sights set on a political year he considers "exciting" and with the intention of building a choral program, open to numerous collaborators, reporters, and experts. The journalist has promised to face the challenge "with all the humility in the world" and to cater to an audience that has already made La 1's mornings leaders.

The first block of 'Mañaneros 360' registered this August a 15.3% share, 456,000 viewers and more than 2.1 million contacts. La 1's weekday morning slot reached 16.7%, its best result in this month since 2008 and 4.7 points above its main competitor.

The channel thus places Cintora at the head of a winning slot after the success achieved with 'Malas Lenguas'. The program averaged 11.2% in La 1's afternoons, the channel's best result in that time slot during the last 15 years, while its block on La 2 reached figures that the channel had not achieved in more than two decades.

The morning is also not an unknown territory for him. Cintora already left his mark at the helm of 'Las mañanas de Cuatro' and later returned to this slot with 'Las cosas claras' on TVE. Now he returns as one of the main faces of the public channel and backed by the results of his last stage.

Before Monday's premiere, Cintora will reappear this Saturday on La 2 with 'Malas Lenguas Noche'. It will be his first return to the screen after the holidays and the last step before daily taking on one of the most competitive time slots on television.

Ane Ibarzabal also makes the leap

Cintora will be accompanied by Ane Ibarzabal, one of the regular faces of 'Malas Lenguas'. The journalist joins 'Mañaneros 360' as co-presenter and will bring to the morning show the experience acquired alongside the Soria native in recent months.

Adela González and Jesús Cintora will be the main pair, while Ane Ibarzabal and Miriam Moreno will complete the presentation team. The four will premiere this new stage on Monday, with political and social news as the main raw material.
