Aitana and Antonio Díaz, El Mago Pop, have gone a step beyond their respective artistic careers by becoming owners of the Teatro Aquitània in Barcelona. The singer and the illusionist have teamed up for the first time as partners to promote a cultural project with a vision for the future in one of the performing arts spaces in the Catalan capital.
Both have explained that their intention is to transform the theater into a place dedicated to artistic excellence, innovation, and support for new generations of creators, with the ambition of making it a meeting point for new scenic proposals and contributing to strengthening Barcelona's role as a European cultural reference.
"We had been dreaming of doing a project together for a long time and we can't think of a more beautiful way to start than by investing in culture," said Aitana, who highlighted her confidence in the future of theaters and her excitement to give new life to the Aquitània. For his part, El Mago Pop acknowledged that he had never before shared a business project of this type and celebrated that his first partner is the Catalan artist, whom he described as one of the most relevant figures in Spanish music.
The Teatro Aquitània, located on Sarrià avenue, opened its doors in 1945 as Cine Infanta before becoming a theater after a major renovation. With this acquisition, both artists aspire to promote the production of new shows, foster emerging talent, and strengthen Barcelona's cultural fabric.
