Aitana has broken her silence to respond to the criticism she has received on social media for not publishing any message during LGTBI+ Pride month. The singer reacted after journalist Juanma Fernández questioned her involvement with the collective on X, stating that she had not dedicated "not even a tweet" to Pride despite, according to him, it being an important part of her audience.

The artist responded directly to the comment by inviting those who doubt her commitment to attend any of her concerts. "I believe that the message we give about the freedom to love, to be oneself, and respect for all people speaks much more about me than any social media post," she wrote, accompanying her words with a statement in which she explained the reasons for her stance.

In that text, Aitana asserts that "I have always supported and will always support the LGTBI+ collective" and explains that the collective has been part of her life since childhood because "the vast majority" of her family environment belongs to it. She also recalls that when she was 18 years old, she wanted to publicly show that support by participating in a Pride float, but she claims that she then received numerous criticisms. "Many people let me know that, for being a heterosexual CIS woman, perhaps that was not my space and that I should leave the spotlight to those who did belong to the collective," she recounts.

The singer explains that she decided to respect those opinions and act with greater prudence ever since. "I understood it, I respected it, and since then I preferred to be very cautious so as not to speak on behalf of anyone or do something that could bother them. That has never meant a lack of support. I simply decided that my way of being would be from respect and also from my music," she concludes. Her message has generated numerous reactions of support, with users who believe that commitment to a cause should not be measured solely by social media posts.
