Anne Hathaway has been forced to respond to social media speculation about her pregnancy after images from her latest public appearance generated all sorts of comments. The actress, who is expecting her third child, became one of the stars of the Los Angeles premiere of The End of Oak Street, where she showed off her pregnancy with a striking outfit.

Her choice for the red carpet did not go unnoticed. Hathaway wore a silk top by Prabal Gurung combined with low-rise jeans and a long blue train that left her belly completely visible. However, far from focusing solely on her look, some users began to question the appearance of her belly on social media and even speculated that it might be a fake belly.

Given the growing conversation, the actress decided to respond directly via Instagram. Hathaway shared a video showing part of the preparations prior to the premiere and accompanied the images with a brief but forceful message: “Fake hair, real belly”. In this way, the actress ironically wanted to put an end to doubts about the authenticity of her pregnancy without going into further explanations.

Hathaway announced last June that she is expecting her third child with Adam Shulman, to whom she has been married since 2012. The couple already has two children, Jonathan, ten, and Jack, seven. The actress has been publicly showing her pregnancy in recent weeks, turning some of her red carpet appearances into a new opportunity to show off her upcoming motherhood.
