David Bisbal was in Bogotá, due to the final of Operación Triunfo USA, when the strong earthquake that shook Colombia surprised the population during the morning. The singer from Almería shared his experience through his social networks, where he explained how he experienced the first moments of the earthquake and wanted to reassure his followers about the situation the country was going through.

Waking up this morning with such a strong tremor in Bogotá was a bit of panic at first,” the artist recounted in a video published on his Instagram stories. Bisbal explained that the intensity of the movement made the first moments especially tense, although the Colombian capital was not among the areas most affected by the earthquake.

One of the aspects that most caught his attention was the emergency alarms that began to sound in the buildings next to his. “A lot of alarms started to sound by protocol from other buildings that were adjacent to mine,” said the singer, who remained attentive to the evolution of the situation from Bogotá.

Bisbal also wanted to take advantage of his message to show his solidarity with the people affected by the natural disaster. “You have already seen the magnitude of this natural disaster. We are all with our hearts in our throats,” he said before sending “a huge greeting and kiss” to those affected. The artist also assured that he will remain attentive to the available aid channels to collaborate with those who have been affected by the earthquake.
