Raúl Triguero, reporter for the Telecinco program ¡De viernes!, has died in the train accident that occurred near Urda (Toledo), according to sources consulted by the media. The journalist was traveling on a Renfe AVE train covering the route between Madrid and Seville when the accident occurred. Since Wednesday, October 28, his family, friends, and professional colleagues had been awaiting any news about his whereabouts, after his trace was lost following the accident. The confirmation of his death now gives way to the pain of a loss that has especially shocked those who shared his personal and professional life with him.

Triguero was heading to Andalusia for work reasons. He was scheduled to interview Amador Mohedano, Rocío Jurado's brother and Rosa Benito's ex-husband, on behalf of the Telecinco program. His trip was interrupted by the railway tragedy and, during the hours of uncertainty, the concern of his circle grew due to the absence of news. According to the magazine Lecturas, people close to the reporter expressed their anguish with words that reflected the harshness of the wait: "We still don't know anything. It's been a horror".

The journalist was a familiar face in televised social chronicles. In 2013, he joined the team of Sálvame, where he developed a large part of his career for a decade, until the program's farewell in 2023. Throughout those years, he interviewed numerous popular figures, covered current events, and made live connections from different parts of Spain. After the end of that stage, he continued working at Mediaset and became part of ¡De viernes!, the program presented by Santi Acosta and Beatriz Archidona. A career built alongside many colleagues who today mourn his loss.

The death of Raúl Triguero adds to the deep pain caused by the Urda railway accident, a tragedy that has affected numerous families and keeps the country awaiting its consequences. In the midst of an especially difficult day, from our newsroom we want to extend our deepest condolences to Raúl Triguero's family, friends, and professional colleagues in these very difficult moments. We join in the grief of those who mourn his loss today and want to express all our affection and solidarity. With the utmost respect for his memory and the privacy of his loved ones, we send them a strong and warm embrace and our condolences.
