The young player for the Spanish national team and FC Barcelona, Lamine Yamal, has suffered an attempted robbery at his home located in Esplugues de Llobregat, in Barcelona, which was once owned by Colombian artist Shakira. The 19-year-old forward is currently playing in the World Cup with Spain in the United States, so he was not at home.
The attempted robbery took place a few hours after Lamine played in the World Cup semifinals against France in Dallas, so the news must not have allowed the player to fully enjoy the victory against the French and the historic qualification for the final of the competition. It has been confirmed that the assault took place at 04:00 in the morning in Spain. The assailants were surprised by the player's own security, who intercepted the thieves as they tried to climb the wall of the house, and then alerted the Mossos d'Esquadra and the Criminal Investigation Division of the Police.
