María Herrejón clarifies what happened with Andrea Compton debunking controversies and rumors: "It was a communication failure"

María Herrejón has spoken for the first time with total clarity about the end of her friendship with Andrea Compton, one of the most commented breakups in the Spanish influencer universe for years. And she has done so to flatly deny the rumor that pursued both of them the longest: that she had been romantically involved with Andrea's partner.

The confession came during a conversation on the Ro En La Red channel, where the influencer explained that the estrangement between them had nothing to do with third parties or romantic betrayals, but with “a communication failure” during a complicated stage for both. “We were younger people, we were going through our own things and we didn't know how to communicate,” she assured.

María Herrejón also confessed that she never wanted to make what happened public because she considered that the only person she really needed to talk to was Andrea. “I didn't owe explanations to the internet,” she stated, recalling the emotional toll it took on her to see how false rumors about her were fueled for years. One of the most shocking moments came when she revealed that it took her years to find out that the rumor was circulating that she had slept with Andrea's partner. “It was very shocking to discover that that was being said,” she explained, making it clear that she was even supporting her friend at that time while she was going through a romantic breakup.

The influencer also said that it was Andrea herself who took the step to resume contact after the rumors continued to grow. As she explained, both were finally able to talk about what had happened, understand how each had felt, and close a wound that had been open since 2018. Currently, the relationship between them is good and they see each other normally again, something that Herrejón defines as the true closure she needed. “The important thing was to fix it between us,” she concluded.
