Spanish music is once again making a name for itself among the great figures of the Latin scene. Rosalía accumulates six nominations for the Billboard Latin Music Awards 2026, consolidating herself as one of the great protagonists of this edition thanks to the international impact of Lux, her latest album.
The Catalan artist appears among the candidates in several of the most prominent categories of the awards and is very close to Karol G, who accumulates nine nominations, as the female artist with the greatest presence on the list. Ahead of both are also some of the big names in current Latin music, with Peso Pluma as the absolute leader of the nominations with 17 nominations.
The recognition of Rosalía also represents a new confirmation of the international dimension reached by Lux, a work that has reinforced her position as one of the Spanish artists with the greatest projection within the Latin and international market.
Rosalía competes for Album of the Year with 'Lux'
Among the most important nominations for the Catalan artist is that of Top Latin Album of the Year, where Lux will compete with works by artists such as Beéle, Clave Especial, Omar Courtz and Peso Pluma and Tito Double P.
The album also appears among the nominees for Top Latin Album of the Year, sharing the category with artists such as Becky G, Fred again.. and Latin Mafia, Karol G and Kevin Kaarl.
Rosalía's presence also extends to the Latin Pop categories, where she is nominated for Latin Pop Artist of the Year alongside Danny Ocean, Kali Uchis, Kapo and Shakira.
One of the great female artists of the awards
The six nominations make Rosalía one of the women with the highest number of nominations in this edition. Only Karol G, with nine, surpasses the Spanish artist among the most nominated female artists.
The Colombian artist competes, among other categories, for Artist of the Year, while Rosalía also appears in some of the categories that recognize the performance of songs and albums in the Latin market. One of the most striking nominations for the Spanish artist comes for La Perla, her collaboration with Yahritza y Su Esencia, which is among the candidates for Global 200 Latin Song of the Year.
Peso Pluma leads the nominations
The great dominator of the nominations is Peso Pluma, who accumulates 17 nominations and once again positions himself as one of the main names in regional Mexican music.
The Mexican artist appears in categories such as Artist of the Year, Top Latin Albums Male Artist, and Regional Mexican Artist of the Year, in addition to competing for different awards related to his songs and collaborations.
Very close is Tito Double P, with 15 nominations, while Fuerza Regida reaches 12 nominations. The weight of regional Mexican music is once again evident in a list where these artists occupy a good part of the main categories.
Karol G and Bad Bunny, among the big favorites
In addition to Rosalía, other prominent names in this edition are Karol G and Bad Bunny. The Colombian artist has nine nominations and appears among the candidates for Artist of the Year, in addition to competing in Latin Rhythm categories and for the performance of some of her songs. Bad Bunny also figures among the big favorites of the night, with a presence in categories such as Artist of the Year, Tour of the Year, and Top Latin Global 200 Artist of the Year.
The list of nominees thus reflects the dominance of the great stars of reggaeton, Latin pop, and regional Mexican music, although Rosalía's presence once again demonstrates that Spanish music also has a place among the great protagonists of the Latin industry.
The Billboard Latin Music Awards 2026 gala will be held on October 22 in Miami, where it will finally be known who wins the awards.
