The comedian Héctor de Miguel, artistically known as Quequé, was arrested on Wednesday night in Salamanca by agents of the National Police in compliance with a judicial order issued by a Madrid court.
According to sources from the Government Delegation in Castilla y León confirmed to EFE, the comedian remains in custody in his hometown, although the specific reason for the warrant issued by the Madrid judicial body has not yet been disclosed.
The arrest occurs while Quequé faces an open judicial procedure after, on March 16, the Trial Court Section of Instruction Plaza Number 6 of Valladolid agreed to open oral proceedings against him as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of coercion against the president of Christian Lawyers, Polonia Castellanos. In that case, the Prosecutor's Office requests two years in prison, in addition to compensation of 6,000 euros for moral damages, and considers Cadena SER subsidiarily civilly liable.
On the other hand, the comedian was also investigated for an alleged hate crime following statements made on his radio program about the Valley of the Fallen and pedophile priests. However, the Provincial Court of Madrid archived that case in May 2025 as it found no evidence of a crime.
