The streamer TheGrefg has broken his silence after the controversy generated by his ex-cameraman Satu and has done so with a live stream of more than 40 minutes in which he mixes irony and anger. “On the outside I try to inject humor, but on the inside I am very disappointed”, he assures, after the dissemination of a clip on social media where he is accused of alleged labor exploitation.

Satu, former cameraman for TheGrefg, has explained his version of the controversy that appears in the preview of a Podcast in a reel uploaded to Instagram. The audiovisual creator assures that, despite trying to take it with humor, the reality is very different: “Inside I am very angry… and more than angry, disappointed”. In his account, Satu summarizes the situation in a direct accusation: he assures that he felt “laborally exploited” during the years he worked with the streamer. The former collaborator maintains that the experience took its toll even on a personal level, to the point of needing psychological help: “It made me think that I was the problem”, he laments. “Do you prefer to buy a two-meter Goku rather than give your cameraman a contract?”, he launched, in reference to the lack of labor formalization.

The Grefg has explained in a live stream that he tried to resolve the conflict privately: “what have I done? Obviously, talk to him privately, as I have spoken to him the other three or four times that he has thrown indirects on social media”. He also assures that the received response, 24 hours later, has left him more confused: “he has told me that he has no problem with me and that in the video… he speaks wonders of me”, while he maintains that the published content points in another direction.

TheGrefg criticized the contradiction between the private message and the public exposure: “are you laughing at me?” and “how easy and how free and how well it turns out to say something about me and then tell me that in the video you are going to speak wonders”. He also rejected the idea that he was seeking virality with the topic.

Regarding the accusations of labor exploitation, the streamer denies it and defends his working conditions: “I truly consider that the people who work with me… I pay quite well the people I work with”. Furthermore, he stated that the collaborator worked as a freelance with payments per project: “we had discussed a price per video”, and maintained that “it was a damn good price”. Finally, in the live stream he insisted that other professionals valued his way of working: “they told me: ‘what you are paying Satu, you are raising the market’”, and stressed that, according to his version, there was no abusive treatment but rather specific agreements for work performed.
