The Instituto Cervantes de Madrid has inaugurated an exhibition dedicated to original lyrics by great names of Spanish music, where unique manuscripts are shown that allow seeing the creative origin of iconic songs.
On this occasion, Amaral has ceded the original manuscript of The universe above me, written by hand by Eva Amaral. The document includes personal annotations and small drawings that accompanied the creation process of the song.
The piece is part of an exhibition that also brings together works by artists such as Enrique Bunbury, Joaquín Sabina or Estopa, among other references from different generations.
The exhibition seeks to bring the public closer to the most intimate side of musical composition, showing how some of the most recognized songs are born from their first ideas on paper.
