The next June 8, the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium will become the epicenter of an unprecedented event on the occasion of the meeting of the Church of Madrid with Pope Leo XIV during his visit to Spain. In this great event, music will play a leading role with performances by artists such as David Bustamante, Daniel Diges and Diana Navarro, who will headline a lineup that mixes pop, lyrical and religious music in a massive format.

Alongside them, names such as Luis Alfredo, Chito Morales, Ismael Olivas or Maite López, will also participate, in addition to the Orquesta Sinfónica Cruz Diez, the banda Pop Salesianos and a large artistic setup coordinated by choreographer Ismael Olivas. The event will also feature an ambitious choral production: a Coro Familiar Iglesia de Madrid with 1,000 voices, among them 300 children, accompanied by 70 musicians and 100 dancers, under the direction of priest Toño Casado.

During the day, which will begin hours before the arrival of the Pontiff at the stadium, a repertoire will be performed that will combine classical and contemporary pieces by authors such as Beethoven, Agustín Lara or Kiko Argüello, in addition to current religious compositions. One of the central moments will be the performance of the hymn Alza la mirada, created especially for the papal visit.

This great musical act is part of a broader program of Pope León XIV's trip to Madrid, scheduled from June 6 to 12, which includes institutional meetings at the Palacio Real, a historic intervention in the Congreso de los Diputados and other events in the city. In the musical sphere, performances by artists such as Niña Pastori have also been confirmed, in addition to groups like Hakuna, Siloé, and Besmaya in different meetings with young people.

The set of activities will turn the papal visit into an event of great cultural and social impact, with the Bernabéu as the central stage of one of the most multitudinous celebrations organized in the capital in recent years.
