What began as a day of protest that was previously limited to June 28 has been extending. Now, June 1 officially marks the beginning of the LGTBIQ+ month, the days of the year when inclusion becomes more visible than ever in a Barcelona that fills with activities to celebrate this month.
In an event open to the public, the president of Pride BCN 2026 Ferran Poca, and the vice president and director of the Social sphere, Maria Giralt, presented the new social campaign and the visibility agenda for this edition, which promises to be the most participatory to date thanks to the active involvement of 16 entities in its development and the support of more than 40 collectives. This year's motto in Barcelona is, "Totes les realitats, un sol orgull" (All realities, one pride), focusing on the concept of intersectionality.
Barcelona's agenda will take place from June 27 to July 19 with free activities and events. There will be activities every day, but the highlight of the edition will arrive from July 16 to 18, bringing major events back to the heart of the city. The main activities will kick off on Thursday the 16th with the traditional proclamation in Plaça Universitat. On the 17th and 18th, music and culture will take over the stages that will be set up both in Plaça Universitat itself and on Passeig de Lluís Companys. And the great moment of mobilization will arrive on Saturday, July 18, with the great protest demonstration. The march will begin its route in Plaça Universitat, advance along the Gran Via until reaching Tetuan, and go down Passeig de Lluís Companys to culminate under the Arc de Triomf, in a key year in which Barcelona continues to promote its candidacy to become the host of WorldPride 2030.
