A card to spend on culture
The Bono Cultural Joven works through a prepaid card, available in virtual format for mobile phones or in physical format, which allows the 400 euros to be used for cultural products and services from establishments adhering to the program. Currently, 4,159 businesses and entities participate throughout Spain.
The aid is divided into three blocks: up to 200 euros for live and audiovisual arts, cultural heritage and materials for artistic creation; up to 100 euros for cultural products in physical support, such as books, magazines, video games, vinyl records and CDs; and another 100 euros for digital or online consumption, including subscriptions to music and audiovisual platforms, digital books and press.
Alternatively, beneficiaries can dedicate the entire amount to a single category among courses and workshops with cultural content, musical instruments or means of creation and artistic material. Once the aid is granted, young people have one year to spend the balance in the adhering establishments.
How to process the application
To apply for the bonus, it is necessary to identify oneself using Cl@ve, with basic or advanced registration, or with a digital certificate. The process can be done in one's own name or through the representation of an adult, although in the latter case it is mandatory to attach the corresponding form signed by the beneficiary.
Accumulated balance since 2022
The Bono Cultural Joven began in 2022, the year in which it was granted to 277,607 people. In 2023, the figure rose to 323,668 beneficiaries; in 2024 it reached 334,435, and in 2025, during the fourth edition, it reached 363,054 young people.
