Princess Leonor makes her university debut before 3,000 students at Carlos III University in Madrid to begin her Political Science studies

The Princess of Asturias, Leonor, took a new step in her education this Monday with the start of her university studies in the Degree in Political Science at Carlos III University of Madrid. The heiress thus began her university stage on the Getafe campus, where she shared her first academic day with around 3,000 students.

The day marked the beginning of a training focused on political, legal, and administrative analysis, with a perspective that covers both national and international spheres. The academic program also seeks to foster a critical vision among students and provide them with tools to understand and study political reality.

During this first day, Leonor attended several of the subjects that are part of her curriculum. Among them are Theory of Law, Research Methodology in Social Sciences, and Fundamentals of Political Science, subjects with which the Princess began to familiarize herself with the content of the degree she will pursue at the Madrid university.

Like the rest of her classmates, the Princess of Asturias also received the first instructions on how the degree operates. The director of Political Science, Gema García Albacete, was in charge of offering students a brief explanation during this first day.

With this beginning, Leonor starts a new academic stage after her military training and now faces university studies directly linked to the knowledge of institutions, politics, and relations between different national and international actors. A new chapter in the preparation of the heiress to the Crown that has just begun in the classrooms of Carlos III.
