Princess Leonor has taken a new step in her military training after completing the Basic Parachuting Course at the Méndez Parada Military School, at the Alcantarilla Air Base (Murcia), where she has carried out several instructional jumps.
Among the maneuvers performed, day jumps and a night jump stand out, within a training program designed to test the preparation and resistance of students in real conditions.
The Princess has shared instruction with about fifty classmates from the General Air and Space Academy, following the same training plan as the rest of the military students. This course allows participants to acquire the necessary training to perform jumps in automatic mode, a common technique in operational units with parachuting capability.
The completion of this stage comes with the delivery of the diploma and the Paratrooper Hunter badge, a recognition that certifies the successful completion of one of the most demanding phases of her military itinerary.
