One of the most beloved comedy sagas by millennials is back. Scary Movie 6 has released its first official trailer, revealing the release date and the irreverent tone that has characterized all its installments since its inception.
Paramount Pictures has confirmed that the new sequel will arrive in Spanish cinemas on June 12, directed by Michael Tiddes and with the participation of veteran figures from the franchise such as Anna Faris and Regina Hall, in addition to brothers Marlon Wayans and Damon Wayans Jr.
The trailer shows that Scary Movie 6 mocks several popular horror films and phenomena from recent years, including references to Los pecadores (2025), Weapons (2025), Terrifier (2016‑2024) and La sustancia (2024). It also parodies classic elements from the original film Scream, one of the most iconic works of the genre that has always been the object of satire in the franchise.
True to its style, the preview shows that it continues employing them on me its politically incorrect humor, harsh jokes and absurd situations, the distinctive hallmark that made the saga famous since its premiere 26 years ago. Among the nostalgic nods also returns Hanson, the unsettling character with a deformed hand who became one of the most remembered moments of Scary Movie 2 (2001).
Scary Movie 6 intends to follow its tradition, updating the formula for a new generation without losing its destructively comedic essence.
