The journalist Carlos Alsina, in his morning monologue on Onda Cero, has demanded that the Minister of the Interior,Fernando Grande‑Marlaska, appear before the media and in theCongress of Deputies without time limit to give clear explanations about thecase of the former deputy operational director (DAO) of the National Police and the accusations of alleged sexual assault and cover-up that have sparked political controversy.

Alsina has criticized that the Government has preferred to respond "off the record" and without cameras until now, and has said that in a matter of this gravity evasive answers are not acceptable but rather an open appearance in which all necessary questions can be asked. "In a case like this, off the records are not acceptable. You have to be direct", he commented forcefully.

The monologue has also addressed the broader political dimension of the crisis shaking the Executive and has questioned the reputational management of the President of the Government, Pedro Sánchez, in the face of a series of scandals that, according to Alsina, have eroded public trust.

Alsina has not stopped demanding total transparency and that Marlaska face the issue without restrictions for a case that has generated criticism in public opinion and in several political parties.
