The iconic series from RTVE,‘Cuéntame cómo pasó’, will return to television after its finale in 2023, on the occasion of its 25th anniversary, as confirmed by Ana Duato, who plays Merche, in statements to Europa Press during the premiere of La Fiera, in which her son Miguel Bernardeau stars alongside Carlos Cuevas and Miguel Ángel Silvestre.
The actress announced that two special episodes will be broadcast, conceived as a tribute to both the viewers and the historic team of the program. “This September it will be 25 years since we premiered Cuéntame and I think it is a very beautiful tribute to the viewers and to all of us,” said Duato, highlighting the importance of celebrating a quarter of a century of television history
The return of the series promises to reunite a large part of the original cast and pick up the stories that marked several generations of viewers, consolidating 'Cuéntame cómo pasó' as one of the cultural and television benchmarks in Spain.
These special chapters are added to the series' long trajectory, which has combined drama, history, and nostalgia, portraying the lives of the Alcántara family and the social and political changes in the country from the late 20th century to the present day.
