Antena 3 sets a date for the last 'Rosco' of 'Pasapalabra' and prepares the premiere of its new final test: another era begins in Roberto Leal's contest

Antena 3 has already set the calendar for the most important change in the recent history of Pasapalabra. The network has announced when the emblematic “Rosco” will be broadcast for the last time and when the new final test that will take its place will premiere, following the Supreme Court's resolution.

According to the promotion launched by Atresmedia, on Thursday, June 18, the last “Rosco” as the audience knows it will be broadcast, thus closing a stage of more than two decades of one of the most recognizable moments of television in Spain.

Starting Friday, June 19, the program hosted by Roberto Leal will premiere its new final test, a format that the network presents as a major television event, although all the details of its mechanics have not yet been revealed. The objective is to maintain the tension and audience success that the “Rosco” duel generated until now.

The change comes after the Supreme Court ruling that mandates modifying the classic format of the contest, which represents a historic transformation for the Antena 3 space. In parallel, the network has begun to remove content from the original format on its platforms and to restructure the program's presence in its digital catalog.

In parallel, the group Mediaset España is preparing to take advantage of the other major twist in the case: the company has acquired the rights to “El Rosco,” which, according to the judicial resolution, belong to the production company MC&F, different from ITV Studios, responsible for the complete format that Antena 3 continues to broadcast. In this context, Telecinco is already working on a new program that will incorporate the circular test within a different format, in an attempt to redefine it without being able to use the brand or exactly replicate its original mechanics.

Meanwhile, Antena 3 reorganizes its contest, in an unprecedented and historic scenario in Spanish television in which the program and its most iconic test take separate paths after years of joint broadcast, thus opening a new stage for one of the most recognizable formats on the schedule.
