Atresmedia continues to expand the international presence of its series. The audiovisual group has closed new distribution agreements during MIPCOM 2026, held in Cannes, with Las hijas de la criada as one of the great protagonists of this edition. The fiction, which triumphed on atresplayer and continues its run on Antena 3, will begin its expansion into five European markets: Portugal, Ireland, Finland, Romania, and Croatia.
The production starring Verónica Sánchez, Carlota Baró, and Alain Hernández, an adaptation of Sonsoles Ónega's novel, winner of the Premio Planeta, will be available on RTP (Portugal), TG4 (Ireland), YLE (Finland), Antena Group (Romania), and HRT (Croatia). Its international distribution comes after becoming atresplayer's best premiere in the last three years and positioning itself as the most-watched national series in prime time in September, according to data released by Atresmedia.
A la deriva, Ágata y Lola, and Trazos ocultos spark international interest
The Cannes showcase has also served to present other of the group's main fiction bets. A la deriva, Ágata y Lola, Trazos ocultos, and the second season of Entre tierras have sparked the interest of operators in Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America, the company announced.
Among these titles are the drama starring Paula Echevarría, Daniel Grao, and Michel Noher; the police procedural led by Eva Martín and Mireia Oriol; and the emotional thriller with Toni Acosta and Rodolfo Sancho. Added to these is the continuation of Entre tierras, with Megan Montaner, which will soon arrive in prime time on Antena 3 after its run on atresplayer.
Sueños de libertad continues its expansion outside of Spain
Another of the fictions that maintains its international trajectory is Sueños de libertad, starring Natalia Sánchez, Oriol Tarrasón, and Dani Tatay. The series, an audience leader in Spanish afternoons, will continue to be available in different territories through agreements with international platforms and channels.
Its distribution includes Latin America and Brazil, through HBO Max; Latvia and Lithuania, through TV3; Romania, with Happy Channel; Poland, on TVP Play; and several Middle Eastern markets. The fiction thus consolidates its presence outside of Spain while continuing its daily broadcast on Antena 3.
Atresmedia reinforces its commitment to Spanish fiction
The presence at MIPCOM is part of Atresmedia Sales' international strategy, responsible for marketing the group's productions in other markets. The company seeks to extend the life of its series beyond their original broadcast and expand their distribution windows through agreements with operators in different countries.
The group recalls that this model has already boosted the international dissemination of titles such as La casa de papel, Veneno, Vis a vis, Velvet, Gran Hotel, Alba and La cocinera de Castamar. New productions are now added to this trajectory, aspiring to find an audience outside of Spain and to strengthen the presence of Spanish fiction in the global market.
