Atresplayer has launched the official trailer for 33 días, the first fiction series created by investigative journalist Carles Porta, which will arrive on the platform next June 7. The production is inspired by the real escape of two prisoners from Ponent prison, in Lleida, a case that kept the Mossos d’Esquadra on tenterhooks for more than a month.

The series, structured in six episodes, stars José Manuel Poga and Julián Villagrán, who play Prieto and Calatrava, two inmates who manage to escape and star in a high-tension flight for 33 days while being pursued by the Catalan autonomous police. On the investigation side,  Nausicaa Bonnín and Pau Durà stand out as the agents leading the operation, in a story that combines police tension, survival, and the complex relationship that forms between the fugitives.

The project, directed by Anaïs Pareto Onghena and with a screenplay by Javier Olivares, Jordi Calafí and Xabi Puerta, opts for a realistic thriller approach that not only reconstructs the escape but also explores the institutional pressure on the Mossos in their early years as a police force. Furthermore, the series focuses on the relationship between the two fugitives, marked by dependence, tension, and an unexpected personal connection that will be key to the development of the story.
