Atresplayer will premiere Sidosa this Sunday, May 10, a documentary starring Eduardo Casanova in which the actor and director publicly addresses his life with HIV for the first time. The production, made together with Jordi Évole and Producciones del Barrio, is presented as an exercise in intimate confession and social vindication.
In the documentary, Casanova makes a key revelation by sharing that he lives with HIV, a gesture that is unprecedented in Spain within a media figure of his relevance. The project seeks to make visible the current reality of the virus and combat the stigma that still persists around it.
The piece, directed by Lluís Galter and Màrius Sánchez, mixes humor, emotion and memory to reconstruct the artist's personal process. The title itself, Sidosa, functions as a direct vindication against insult and discrimination.
With this premiere, Atresmedia reinforces its commitment to social impact documentaries, in collaboration with Évole's team, responsible for some of the most recognized non-fiction television formats in Spain.
