Atresplayer has announced that the second season of Entre Tierras will premiere on Sunday, March 15 on the platform, continuing the story of the fiction that swept in 2024 both in Spain and internationally. The original fiction from Atresmedia, produced in collaboration with Boomerang TV, was the most watched series on television last year and also became one of the biggest successes of Spanish fiction abroad.
The story picks up the life of María, played by Megan Montaner, almost two decades after losing Manuel, and shows how she continues to fight to keep the Cervantes lands afloat while facing the social and economic changes that threaten her way of life. The season will feature 10 episodes of about 50 minutes each and brings together a main cast that includes Silvia Abascal, Rodolfo Sancho, Ginés García Millán, José Pastor, Itziar Miranda, Clara Garrido, Germán Alcarazu, Marina Guerola and Helena Ezquerro. In addition, the filming of this season has taken place in various Spanish locations such as Almería, Castilla‑La Mancha and the Community of Madrid.
The continuation of the series delves into themes such as family roots, the transformation of the countryside, and challenges between generations in a context where the arrival of new farmworkers and businessmen tests the resilience of María and her family: almost two decades have passed since María lost Manuel and was left alone to care for Nicolás and Manuela, her newborn daughter. Thanks to her courage and the support of Claudia, the rebellious farmworker and illegitimate daughter of Don Ramón, she has managed to keep the Cervantes lands, facing difficulties, losses, and the constant threat of businessmen willing to exploit them without respect for history or family ties. Now, as times change and peasants migrate, María must fight for her children to maintain their roots and family unity. For the first time in years, her heart opens to someone else, but the memory of Manuel sows doubts. Even so, she will do everything possible to protect her legacy and face the inevitable
After its premiere on Atresplayer, the new installment is also scheduled to arrive later in Antena 3's prime time, reinforcing the platform's presence on the conventional schedule and consolidating Entre Tierras as one of the most outstanding national productions in recent years.
