Dear and kind reader... Madrid experienced a magical night yesterday with the exclusive Bridgerton masquerade ball, organized for the premiere in Spain of the second part of the fourth season of the series. The protagonists Luke Thompson, Yerin Ha, and Hannah Dodd not only showed up on the elegant red carpet at the Casino de Madrid, but they did not stop smiling, waving, and taking photos with the fans who had been waiting for them since early afternoon.

The cast has taken the opportunity to go to Madrid for the events that we have been covering in the newspaper Elconstitucional.es (A Tea with the Bridgertons last Monday and The Masquerade Ball yesterday) and it seems that what they liked most about the capital of Spain, apart from the vermouths and tapas they had between events, has been the climate. At a relaxed moment with fans, Luke even joked with a comment that I was able to capture at the entrance: “We’ve had sun for the first time. I hadn’t seen that sun in about 3 weeks. Maybe I am the sun”, a phrase that drew laughter from those present and encapsulated the good climate they have perceived in Spain.

The red carpet was a parade of modern Regency elegance: from floral capes and elaborate headdresses to flowing dresses that seemed to have sprung from the series itself, with guests from the world of fashion, culture, and "Spanish high society influence" reinterpreting the wardrobe of Mayfair society with a contemporary touch: Mar Flores dazzled with a 'garden' dress by Carmen Farala that transformed when opened, and Lola Lolita posed as a muse for Vicky Martín Berrocal in a reinterpreted beige satin corset design. Alba Carrillo opted for a baby blue dress by Dominnico, Iera González wore a black dress by María Escoté with a headdress by Betto García, and Elena Gortari shone in a floral look by Rocío Osorno. Also noteworthy were Lalachus in a dress by Ana Locking, Raquel Sánchez Silva in haute couture by Isabel Sanchís, Alejandra Domínguez with a 'Midnight Tea' model from IQ Collection. Even Rugby player Manu Moreno joined the evening with a suit by Palomo Spain, demonstrating that the period theme led the event of the night. Other personalities were seen at the event, such as influencer Javi Hoyos, dressed in a classic black suit that evoked the series' regencycore style, Andrea Compton, Anabel Pantoja with Isa Pi, Jessica Bueno as well as Satin Greco, Lacaudilla, and Margarita Kalifata from the latest season of Drag Race España.

Among the multiple promotional interviews, one of the most viral and with which fans seem to agree the most has been the semi-request that Luke Thompson confessed to Los 40: he would love to have Rosalía's music as part of the series' soundtrack, due to aspects like the drama and staging that stand out from her music videos.

It may not be a coincidence: there is less and less time to hear the performance of the Catalan artist at the Britt Awards 2026 held in the British city of Manchester, where she is also nominated.

Far from the rigidity of a usual promotion, the night seemed to have turned into a shared celebration: laughter, sincere conversations, and multiple displays of affection between the actors and their followers. An atmosphere that, in addition to honoring the universe of Bridgerton, also underscored the genuine connection between the cast and their Spanish audience.
