Netflix has announced that Clanes will officially end with a third and final season. The Spanish fiction starring Clara Lago and Tamar Novas, which premiered its second installment last April, will return with a final batch of episodes that will put the definitive end to Ana and Daniel's story.

The platform has confirmed that both actors will once again lead the cast to bid farewell to their characters, in a season that will be set one year after the events of the previous one. The finale will maintain the criminal thriller tone that has marked the series since its inception, with new conflicts that will test the fate of its protagonists.

Along with Lago and Novas, several of the fiction's regular cast members also return, including Luis Zahera, Xosé Antonio Touriñán, Melania Cruz, Miguel de Lira and Chechu Salgado, who will once again bring to life the key characters of the 'Clanes' universe. The production continues in the hands of Vaca Films, with direction by Ángeles Huerta and Javier Rodríguez and script by Jorge Guerricaechevarría.

With this announcement, Netflix consolidates the trend of closing some of its most prominent Spanish fictions with planned final seasons, as has already happened or will happen with other recent titles in the catalog.

The new installment will resume the story with Ana living under a new identity as a protected witness, far from Cambados, while Daniel tries to rebuild his life outside of drug trafficking. However, their pasts will cross again in a context marked by tension in the drug business and the pressure from new rival clans.
