The American actress Kathryn Hahn has confirmed that she will finally be part of the cast of the upcoming live-action of Tangled (Disney), where she will give life to the iconic villain Mother Gothel, confirming the rumors we had been collecting on 'ElConstitucional.es'.
The performer was in charge of revealing her participation in a simple but very recognizable way for fans of the animated classic: Hahn confirmed the role with a brief reference in her Instagram bio to the character's famous musical theme: Mother Knows Best, a phrase associated with the song with which the antagonist tries to convince Rapunzel not to leave the tower in the original story. With those words, the actress hinted that she would be in charge of embodying the manipulative villain in the new version.
The announcement was finally confirmed with a video published on social media in which the actress showed her “outfit of the day”, a t-shirt with the image of Mother Gothel served to make an ironic nod that confirmed the rumors about her participation in the project.

The film will be a live-action adaptation of Disney's animated classic released in 2010, freely inspired by the Brothers Grimm's tale of Rapunzel. The story follows a princess with long magical hair who has spent her entire life secluded in a tower under the watchful eye of Gothel, who takes advantage of her hair's powers to stay young.
In this new version, actress Teagan Croft will play Rapunzel, while Milo Manheim will bring to life the adventurer Flynn Rider. The project will be directed by Michael Gracey, known for the musical The Greatest Showman, with a screenplay by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson.
For the moment, Disney has not announced an official release date, although the studio continues to gradually reveal the names that will be part of the cast of this new adaptation of one of its most popular classics.
